AeroChain examined whether a cryptographically verifiable chain of custody could make provenance and maintenance history easier to establish, without treating decentralization as an answer in itself.

Good systems depend on more than a ledger.
The concept did not become a production platform. It did, however, make the important constraints visible: technology must fit governance, incentives, operations, privacy, and the existing systems people depend on.

Cryptography can strengthen a record, but it cannot by itself establish that a real-world event happened correctly or that every participant will adopt a shared process.
